Jennifer Pena is a Latin actress and singer with multiple Grammy nominations. She sold almost 3.5 million of her records internationally. Jennifer’s first performance in front of a major scale audience was in the 1995 concert tribute for the late Latina pop superstar Selena, performing Selena’s #1 hit, “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom”.

In May of 1996, the 12-year-old Jennifer Pena recorded her first album “Dulzura”. She gained a loyal fan base with her version of The Drifter’s “Dance with Me”. Her album was a certified gold and earned her number of Tejano Music Award. Pena recorded her second Album entitled “Jennifer Y Los Hetz” with singles “Yo Te Vi” and “Tu castigo”. Her second album gained the same respect and appreciation as her first giving her another gold album. Jennifer Pena was recognized as the most well-known female Tejano singer in 2000 earning her the title “La Princesa De La Musica Tejano”. Her most successful single was the one recorded with DJ King, Kumbia King’s former front man. “Si Tu Te Vas”, “No Te Voy a Perdonar” and “Contigo Ontra Vez” are her hit singles in Mexico and in the United States. Her song with DJ Kane also earned her Grammy nomination in 2001 and numbers of Tejano Music Awards.

Jennifer Pena left her management Q Production and signed with Univision Music Group to further explore other music genres. She then released her album “Libre” with single entitled “Vamos al Mundial”, which became the anthem for FIFA World Cup 2002. Another popular song from “Libre” was “El Dolor de Tu Presencia,” which gave Pena’s career a popularity boost, spending eight consecutive weeks in the top of Billboard’s Hit Latin tracks. Jennifer Pena’s other recognitions and awards include nominations for Best Mexican American Performance, Producer of the Year, Album of the Year, Billboard’s Latin Music Track of the year, Regional Airplay Track of the Year and Female Entertainer of the Year. She also received the Female Vocalist of the Year and Female Entertainer of the Year in the South Texas Music Awards.
